Vespers is the product of a specific picture, the image of a quaint mountain town in late December, snow falling gently on the peaked roofs, lights twinkling in the square. As one of the historic meeting places of Lower Saxony, we felt it necessary to incorporate our legendary version of Mousse de Saxe ("Saxon Moss"), in all its velvety darkness, into any fragrance representative of the village. Onto this we layered cranberry, cardamom, balsam, and a fern accord for a spicy-jammy-forest character. Patchouli, rose, sandalwood, and bergamot round out the rough edges to produce a scent one might expect to waft from a merrymaking hall on a chill evening. Vespers is the ultimate comfort scent for the dark months and we're very excited to release it this winter.

Inspired by centuries of fascination with the humble yet enchanting orange, this shaving collection captures the rich warmth of perfectly smoked citrus. Sweet and juicy, warm and inviting, the scent recalls leathery peels kissed by heat, their juice darkened, concentrated, and wonderfully aromatic.

Orange oil is famously difficult to work with in soap and aftershave – unstable, prone to oxidation, and often weak on the skin. After years of searching for a safer, more reliable way to recreate an authentic orange fragrance, this formula was born: a powerful, intensely realistic citrus accord that feels like burying your face in a basket of freshly smoked oranges.

Rich and elegant, with undertones of dusky sweetness, this is no weak, muddled orange scent. It is an intense, distinctly authentic fragrance, a glorious, impassioned love letter to the warmest and friendliest citrus. Perfect for traditional wet shaving, it pairs a luxurious shaving soap base with a soothing aftershave splash to leave your skin feeling smooth, comfortable, and superbly scented.

Directions for Use – Shaving Soap
Load a damp brush on the soap, then build a rich lather in a bowl or directly on the face. Apply to freshly wetted skin and shave as usual. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Directions for Use – Aftershave Splash
Shake into your palms (an amount about the size of a quarter) and rub them together for 3 seconds. Rub your palms over your freshly shaven skin. There may be a mild sting upon initial application, but your face is about to look, feel, and smell awesome.
